Classic, rare, and discontinued 35mm 1600 Fuji Superia Film image photo print of The Cherry Cricket in Cherry Creek in Denver, Colorado

Story:

A true Denver Landmark, this location is known as the “Black Sheep of Cherry Creek” and one of Denver’s first Sports Bars, famous for its burgers and Colorado Craft Beer. The bar opened in 1945 as Mary Zimmerman’s Bar, serving truck drivers and workers near the old city dump. It was renamed in 1950 by Lloyd Page, who installed its iconic marquee. In 1963 Bernard Duffy assumed ownership, adding the famous "Duffy's" rotating sign. Today it is a destination for anyone visiting Denver, Colorado, and Cherry Creek, one of the wealthiest neighborhoods of the Rocky Mountain Region…
