The Rambler brand name was first used by the Thomas B. Jeffery Company between 1900 and 1914 before being bought by Nash Motors in 1916. The "Rambler" trademark was reintroduced in 1950 under the Hudson Motor Car Company, which became American Motor Company (AMC) in 1954.
